Software Engineering Manager

As a Software Engineering Manager you will solve complex software problems, lead scrum teams towards successful deliveries on time with quality and nurture top talent.

What You Will Do:

  • Deliver high quality solutions on time.
  • Lead / manage a team of software engineers
  • Manage daily activities of the development team
  • Collaborate with cross-functional global teams such as product management, design, support and other development teams.
  • Encourage innovative mindset towards solving difficult and sometimes ambiguous problems
  • Build and maintain high performance engineering teams with a predictable delivery cadence.
  • Mentor engineers and guide them towards achieving their career objectives.
  • Evaluate and make recommendations on techniques, practices or technologies that would enhance our needs
  • Train the junior members of the team on subject matter expertise to ensure continuous learning
  • Assigns personnel to various projects and directs their activities; reviews and evaluates their work and prepares performance reports

Minimum Requirements:

  • Certified ServiceNow System Administrator
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field
  • 6+ years of experience with technologies relevant to SN and advanced coding skills
  • 2+ years of experience managing development teams
  • Proven track record of delivering high quality solutions as a lead / manager
  • Experience working in an Agile environment with focus in SCRUM methodologies.
  • Fluency in one or more relevant programming language (Java, C++, Ruby. Shell, JavaScript)
  • An understanding of broad concepts and experience using those concepts to understand and develop solutions for problems
  • Ability to execute a project based on our priorities, context, risks and desired outcomes
  • 2+ years of experience with scripted REST APIs
  • Experience educating internal or external customers in best practice design
  • Ability to work independently or with team • Demonstrate strong initiative and self-starter

Preferred Requirements:

  • ServiceNow – Certified Application Developer
  • ServiceNow – Certified Implementation Specialist ITSM/CSM/HR
