CTG is seeking to fill a Business Intelligence Platform Engineer opening for our client in New York, NY.

Location: New York, NY

Duration: 6 months

Duties:

• Serve as a Level 3 Subject Matter Expert for Business Intelligence platforms, providing advanced troubleshooting and support.
• Manage, maintain, and optimize multiple BI platforms, including PowerBI, Tableau, Grafana, Alteryx, and Microstrategy.
• Oversee and enhance the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) processes specific to BI applications.
• Develop and implement high availability (HA) and disaster recovery (DR) strategies to ensure platform resilience.
• Collaborate with data governance teams to enforce compliance with governance principles and best practices.
• Work cross-functionally with business units, data engineers, and developers to align BI capabilities with organizational goals.
• Document configurations, standards, procedures, and best practices for BI environments.

Skills:

• In-depth expertise in one or more BI platforms: PowerBI, Tableau, Grafana, Alteryx, and Microstrategy.
• Proficiency in managing SDLC processes and tools for BI application lifecycle.
• Strong capabilities in designing and implementing HA and DR solutions.
• Excellent problem-solving, troubleshooting, and analytical abilities.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively with technical and non-technical teams.

Experience:

• Proven experience in a senior or SME-level BI engineering role.
• Demonstrated background supporting enterprise-level BI platforms and environments.
• Hands-on experience with BI platform administration, performance tuning, and automation.

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.

Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.
