Salary Range: $55,000- $65,500 annualized, commensurate with education, experience and qualifications.

Essential Functions

Job Summary

The role of Senior Program Manager for the Najim Center at UTSA, in collaboration with the Alvarez College of Business, is responsible for playing a key leadership role in driving the execution of strategic initiatives (such as Najim Strategist and other programs) that support entrepreneurship, innovation, and student engagement. This position requires high-level project management skills, coordination of external business partners, and oversight/managing a team of coordinators to implement programs, events, and external business relationships successfully. Additionally, the Senior Program Manager plays a vital role in supporting the overall operations and strategic direction of the Najim Center. As part of the Najim Center’s long-term vision, the Senior Program Manager will also spearhead the development and expansion of the Next Gen Entrepreneurs Program.

Core Responsibilities

  1. Oversee coordinators and Najim Strategist program in collaboration with ACOB.
  2. Lead and manage a team of program coordinators, providing guidance, structure, and support to ensure the successful execution of initiatives.
  3. Establish and nurture strong relationships with entrepreneurial/corporate partners and stakeholders to create meaningful opportunities for student engagement and program growth.
  4. Oversee and direct marketing, branding, and social media strategy for the Najim Center, ensuring alignment with institutional goals/KPI'S.
  5. Oversee and direct the Najim Center’s website strategy and digital presence, ensuring it remains accessible, relevant, and effectively communicates key initiatives.
  6. Facilitate cross-campus and external collaboration, ensuring effective communication and alignment between the Najim Center, university departments (specifically ACOB), and external partners.
  7. Oversee data management to track program impact, partner engagement, and long-term success metrics.
  8. Ensure financial oversight by reviewing budgets, approving expenditures, and maintaining compliance with funding guidelines and financial documentation.
  9. Lead program assessment and strategy refinement, utilizing insights to evolve programs that meet the needs of UTSA’s entrepreneurial ecosystem.
  10. Develop and implement innovative engagement strategies to strengthen business partnerships, drive program visibility, and enhance external collaborations.
  11. Oversee special projects and high-level initiatives, contributing innovative solutions that advance the Najim Center’s mission.
  12. Represent the Najim Center in institutional and external committees, advocating for strategic priorities and opportunities for growth.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree Required (preferably in a related field such as Business, Entrepreneurship, Education, or Social Sciences).
  • 6 years of progressive experience in leading projects, managing teams, and driving strategic initiatives within an organizational setting.
  • Proven expertise in marketing and social media strategy, with experience developing and executing digital campaigns to enhance brand visibility and engagement.
  • Strong background in entrepreneurship and small business development, with a deep understanding of innovation ecosystems and business growth strategies.
  • Exceptional planning, analytical, time management, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills, ensuring the successful execution of programs and initiatives.
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills, with the ability to oversee multiple high-priority projects, meet deadlines, and ensure operational efficiency.
  • Demonstrated ability to plan, organize, and evaluate events and activities, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and stakeholder expectations.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, capable of effectively engaging various audiences, fostering partnerships, and representing the Najim Center professionally.
  • Experience in managing and overseeing staff, providing leadership, direction, and professional development to ensure operational success.
  • This position requires the ability to maintain the security and integrity of UTSA and its infrastructure.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree from an accredited institution in a related field such as Business and Entrepreneurship.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and other relevant digital tools.
  • Expertise in managing and leading teams, providing direction, mentorship, and oversight to coordinators and staff.
  • Strong capabilities in training, development, and team empowerment, fostering a high-performing and motivated workforce.
  • Extensive experience in marketing and social media strategy, including content creation, branding, and digital engagement to enhance organizational visibility.
  • Excellent communication, networking, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage various stakeholders and establish strategic partnerships.
  • Proven project management expertise, with the ability to oversee multiple initiatives, ensure timely execution, and drive organizational success.

This position will be primarily located on campus. Travel and parking expenses are the employee’s responsibility.
