About the Team

The Data Analytics Audit team is the driving force behind data-informed decision making, partnering with stakeholders across multiple business domains such as product, finance, marketing, and technology. We ensure the integrity and usability of data, translate business objectives into analytical strategies, and build compelling stories that influence key decisions. Your contributions will directly impact our strategic growth and operational success.

What You’ll Do:

  • Analytical Support: Serve as a primary analytical point of contact, providing clear and timely responses to business-critical data requests and ad-hoc analyses. Refine operational workflows and deliver insights that enhance daily execution. You will also collaborate on maintaining project tracking systems and ensuring accurate data updates. Identify and validate optimal data sources, perform rigorous data quality checks, and ensure the extracted data is robust, accurate, and fit for business purposes.
  • Conduct Deep Data Analysis: Translate complex business challenges into analytical problems, selecting the most appropriate tools and methodologies to deliver actionable data-driven solutions for Audit. Perform in-depth analysis on large-scale datasets and Identify key insights for business. Design and develop advanced data visualizations and dashboards tailored to diverse audiences, facilitating clear communication and driving stakeholder engagement and behavioral change. Conduct comprehensive exploratory data analyses and build statistical models to uncover patterns, trends, and insights that inform business strategies and measure project outcomes.
  • AI Advocate: You will be highly engaged with AI, accelerating public AI tool experimentation across all teams, identifying and enabling business use cases. Educate the broader team on responsible and effective application of public AI tools in real-world scenarios.
  • Leadership and Collaboration: Lead a team of data professionals, mentor, and promote a culture of innovation and accountability, while collaborating with stakeholders to implement multiple automation initiatives.

What You’ll Bring:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a quantitative discipline (Analytics, Economics, Engineering, Finance, etc.) or equivalent practical experience
  • 8+ years of experience in analytics, business intelligence, or data insights roles with excellent communication skills, and the ability to present complex data concepts and recommendations clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, adapting style as needed, capable of distilling complex data for cross-functional and executive audiences.
  • Demonstrated ability in advanced modeling and analysis, including some type of statistical or financial methods. Solid foundation in exploratory data analysis, statistical methods, and the application of data discovery tools to extract meaningful insights
  • Proficiency in SQL or coding, with experience querying large, cloud-based data environments and use statistical techniques to analyze data. Demonstrated expertise in SQL, Python, and advanced data visualization tools such as Tableau, PowerBI, and Python to analyze, interpret, and present complex data sets.Familiarity with GenAI ecosystem and effective AI product development expertise.

Live Better U is a Walmart-paid education benefit program for full-time and part-time associates in Walmart and Sam's Club facilities. The annual salary range for this position is $90,000.00-$180,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.

Minimum Qualifications...

Option 1: Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Arts, Finance or related field and 4 years' experience in data analysis, data science, statistics, or related field. Option 2: Master's degree in Business, Engineering, Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology or related field and 2 years' experience in data analysis, data science, statistics, or related field. Option 3: 6 years' experience in data analysis, data science, statistics, or related field.

1 year's supervisory experience.
