Salary Range: $75,000.00 To $85,000.00 Annually

The Hospitality Design Group at Emerald is seeking a highly organized and dynamic Event Manager to oversee and execute corporate lifestyle events and tradeshows with a focus on creating exceptional experiences. This role blends strategic event management with the ability to manage complex logistics, deliver VIP customer service, and ensure seamless execution of high-profile events. As a key player in the event management team, the ideal candidate will demonstrate expertise in corporate event planning, budget management, contract negotiation, and proactive problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Event Planning & Execution: Manage and oversee all aspects of corporate events, including but not limited to venue selection, contracts, room blocks, BEOs, AV setup, catering, seating charts and pre, onsite and post event logistics.
  • VIP Customer Interaction: Develop strong relationships with high-profile clients, ensuring VIP-level treatment and exceptional service before, during, and after the event.
  • Budget Management: Work creatively within event budgets to maintain the event's style and quality while identifying cost-saving opportunities.
  • Issue Resolution: Proactively address and resolve issues that arise at venues, ensuring a smooth and hassle-free experience for clients and attendees.
  • Team Leadership: Effectively manage venue staff and internal operations support teams to ensure events run smoothly and efficiently.
  • Adaptability: Demonstrate the ability to pivot and adjust strategies as necessary, especially in response to customer needs or last-minute changes.
  • Sponsor Relations: Communicate clearly and professionally with sponsors to ensure their needs are met, and their expectations are exceeded.
  • Vendor and Partner Coordination: Manage relationships with external vendors and partners to ensure the highest standards are met and maintain efficient event delivery.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Experience: Proven experience in planning and executing corporate events, with a strong understanding of contracts, room blocks, BEOs, and AV setup.
  • Customer Service: Strong ability to interact with high-profile customers, providing VIP-level service and building lasting relationships.
  • Budget Management: Excellent budgeting skills with a track record of delivering events on time and within budget.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to proactively deal with issues that arise at venues and manage difficult situations with a calm and professional demeanor.
  • Organization: Highly organized and detail-oriented with good time management skills
  • Leadership: Experience in managing venue staff and coordinating with internal teams to ensure successful event execution.
  • Flexibility: Ability to pivot quickly and think on your feet, especially in a customer service context.
  • Clear Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, especially when interacting with sponsors and event stakeholders.
  • Experience with large-scale corporate events and high-profile clients is highly preferred.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

Target Compensation: $75,000-85,000

Please note that this range reflects a reasonable estimate of the target compensation for this position. This range may ultimately vary based on a candidate’s qualifications and may be higher where required by applicable law.
