Position Summary:
Cloud Engineer (Level 2) is responsible for designing and implementing cloud-based solutions according to best practices and standards. This position works with Platform Delivery and Cloud Architects to implement and deploy cloud resources utilizing automated infrastructure as code deployment methods as well as ensuring the highest standards of operational excellence and uptime. Solid understanding of cloud networking, cloud adminisrtation and either a Linux background or hands on experience with Kubernetes / containers. Possess a strong background in Infrastructure-as-Code, Azure DevOps, Terraform, Application Testing and Monitoring, PowerShell, Azure Functions, and Git. Functions as a team member within the department and organization, as required, and performs any duty assigned to best serve the company.
Position Responsibilities:
- Deliver, implement, and maintain high-quality technical solutions, including configuration and maintenance of cloud-based systems, primarily in Azure as well as drives operational efficiencies with Infrastructure as Code, automation, orchestrations and building DevOps tools & processes.
- Analyze new cloud-based offerings to identify opportunities to help clients reduce obsolescence, optimize costs, and improve the IT service.
- Support the implementation of cloud-based solutions, analyze cloud requirements, and perform architecture and sizing validations in a highly regulated environment.
- Develop and support the configuration management tasks using PowerShell and Terraform as well as maintains a library of automation design scripts, processes, and procedures that are tested, documented, and deployable.
- Participate in operational activities to ensure functionality and smooth integration of new cloud-based solutions.
- Performs incremental testing actions on code, processes, and deployments to identify ways to streamline execution and minimize errors encountered.
- Collaborate with teams regarding best way to tackle a complex technological infrastructure, security, or development problem and supports cloud architecture designs that address regulatory, compliance, and security requirements as well as business and availability requirements
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelors: IT, Computer Science or related field, or equivalent industry experience
- 5 - 7 years experience
- DevOps background and with CI/CD experience
- 3+ years of professional experience with using a broad range
of Azure technologies (SQL, Web Apps, VMs, App Gateway)
- Expertise with Azure technologies and services including
IaaS/PaaS/SaaS and container experience (Docker /
Kubernetes)
- Strong understanding of Terraform and infrastructure
automation through scripting (PowerShell, Python, Bash, etc.)
- Knowledge of source control tools like GitHub and its
integration with code deploy tools.
- Skilled in Azure DevOps pipelines services.
- Experience with administrating Windows Server and Linux

- Knowledge with modern service hosting’s, security, and risk management concerns such as IAM, access control, and monitoring.
- Skilled in operating solutions and implementing cloud-based information systems in a highly regulated environment.
