Epiroc Australia is currently looking for a Business Development Manager – Epiroc Digital Solutions on a permanent full time basis. The mission for this role is to be the champion within Epiroc that ensures our place as the leading global technology partner. You will join a team of digital personnel reporting to the National Sales Manager Capital and Digital.

You will be responsible for, but not limited to:

  • Drive digital sales within the Epiroc Group with passion, promoting our solutions and supporting customers in their digital journey
  • Targeted market positioning to accelerate growth, enhance market contribution and manage contract negotiations to attain successful outcomes
  • Understand the market through the development of Territory Management Plans allowing targeted focus on providing digital solutions.
  • Understand customer challenges and provide digital solutions as the trusted advisor
  • Proactively working with customer centre business areas to develop packaged solutions to maximise sales opportunities of Epiroc range products and services
  • Build and maintain sustainable relationships at all levels with current stakeholders and prospective customers
  • Actively develop new business, and stay abreast of market trends and opportunities
  • Develop and provide quotations, sales forecasts, proposals and reporting based on internal and externals needs
  • Lead sales activities from initial contact through to securing deal closure
  • Prepare and organise suitable training and information sessions for internal and external stakeholders
  • Regular local and interstate travel will be required as part of this position.

You will ideally possess the following skills and experience:

  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Mining Engineering, Geoscience, Computer Science, IT, Computer Engineering or similar with extensive experience in a similar role
  • Minimum 5 years of working experience in sales/ business development for software/digital solutions in B2B with proved record of success
  • Experience with interacting and consulting customers on complex technical solutions
  • Be familiar with the mining and underground construction industries
  • Be a self-starter who is driven and has an entrepreneurial mindset
  • Passionate about being customer centric and be recognised as a trusted advisor
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to create and manage rapport at all levels
  • Strong negotiation skills with the ability to influence successful outcomes

As part of our recruitment process, we require a National Police Clearance, pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol screen amongst other verification requirements.
