DESCRIPTION

As a Principal Technical Program Manager at Amazon, you'll lead high-impact, cross-organizational initiatives in our FinTech and FACE verticals. You'll drive innovation, automate financial processes, and support Amazon's growth in new business areas. Key job responsibilities

Manage multiple complex, cross-organizational initiatives impacting teams within and outside of Financial and Global Business Services (FGBS)

  • Lead large-scale, highly complex initiatives to support Amazon's growth in new business verticals
  • Automate and accelerate the financial close process to improve controllership
  • Set bold visions and challenge the status quo
  • Utilize technology to build scalable solutions tailored to Amazon's needs
  • Make sound judgmental calls and two-way door decisions with technical and business implications

Required Skills and Knowledge:

  • Deep understanding of business challenges in Accounting, Finance Operations, Tax, Amazon Web Services (AWS), and Digital business verticals, as well as subsidiaries
  • Good understanding of existing systems and interdependencies
  • Autonomous leadership capabilities
  • Ability to thrive as a technology leader within the organization

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • 10+ years of engineering experience
  • 7+ years of technical product or program management experience
  • 5+ years of software development experience
  • Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 8+ years of hands-on work managing complex technology projects experience
  • Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules
