We are seeking an inventive and technically skilled Software Development Engineer to join our diverse team at the forefront of delighting millions of readers around the world. We are looking for a senior leader with extensive experience building both client applications and backend services as needed to enable high quality customers experience across all platforms and devices.
The ideal candidate is proactive, responsive, flexible and able to succeed within an open collaborative peer environment. They have a combination of in-depth knowledge of computer science principles and how to architect software for maximum longevity. They demonstrate creative approaches to building software products and able to help engineers to deliver production level high quality code in all components from UI to services and data stores.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $129,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
