What you´ll do

  • Be part of a progressive, diverse Purchasing team - we lead and transform purchasing and supplier markets, drive financial performance and supply resilience, pioneer sustainability, innovation and digitalization
  • Drive an impact by developing sourcing strategies, partnering with global and regional teams
  • Contribute to delivery of bottom- and top-line results by strategy execution, managing assigned spend and projects internally and externally
  • Formulate negotiation strategies and drive negotiations of commercial agreements across supplier base
  • Define, manage supplier portfolio, and actively develop strategic supplier relationships
  • Coordinate purchasing and supplier contribution to relevant innovation projects
  • Contribute to risk management procedures, design and drive respective countermeasures
  • Ensure excellent understanding of market, industry and value chain. Actively share knowledge and best-practices across the organization
  • Drive sustainability transformation by scouting and executing strategic project with suppliers

What makes you a good fit

  • Master's degree with background in purchasing or chemistry
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in relevant fields
  • Proven experience in strategic purchasing in chemical industry and/or automotive segment
  • Knowledge of contract manufacturing and/or third-party manufacturing is a big advantage
  • Demonstrated ability to create and lead the implementation of sourcing strategies
  • Ability to influence and convince, as well as present in front of top management audience with excellent communication skills
  • Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills as well as analytical thinking mindset combined with experience in project management
  • Good knowledge of SAP, PowerBI, skilled in MS-Office (Excel, Word, and Power Point)
  • Team player, open-minded, , pro-active, determined, and able to work independently,
  • Proficiency in English, German & Italian language skills would be added value
