We are seeking a skilled Machine Builder to join our team, responsible for constructing various food-grade machines. These machines vary in size and complexity, requiring both mechanical and electrical expertise. You will be tasked with wiring panels, reading schematics, and building crates for shipping. Your role will involve mechanical assembly, small welding tasks, utilizing hand tools, and working with blueprints, nuts, bolts, and more. Additionally, you will handle electrical wiring, read electrical prints, and install panels.

The work hours are from 6am to 2:30pm on the first shift, with flexibility for overtime as desired. The facility spans 80,000 square feet, with 10,000 square feet dedicated to office space and 70,000 square feet for plant operations. The plant includes areas for legacy equipment storage, shipping preparation, and manufacturing. It houses a machine shop with CNC machines and manual mills. The team consists of 17 individuals, working directly under the VP of Operations, fostering a laid-back and interactive culture. The dress code is casual to business casual, varying by day.
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of South Haven, Michigan.
The pay range for this position is $15.00 - $20.00/hr.
