As a Cable Assembler, you will be responsible for building various cables used in aircraft and ground control stations. You will determine and follow methods and sequences of operations for assembly tasks such as wiring, component installation, hand soldering, and cable harnessing on assembly units. This role requires following and comprehending assembly drawings or written work instructions, crimping terminals/contacts onto wires using manual and automated tooling, labeling assemblies according to drawing specifications, and performing soldering tasks including tinning wire, splices, and connections. You will engage in a variety of tasks ranging from repetitive to non-repetitive production assembly using basic hand tools, wire strippers, hand crimpers, scissors, soldering iron, and heat gun. Quality monitoring and verification in accordance with control procedures is expected.

The work environment consists of individual work benches/stations equipped with all tools needed for assembly tasks. Employees primarily sit during their work hours. The atmosphere is calm and quiet, emphasizing organization. Personal phones must remain in pockets, and headphones are not allowed. Dress code includes wearing long pants, no loose clothing, clean and appropriate attire, and closed-toed shoes. The 9/80 work week offers shifts from 5 AM-2:30 PM or 3 PM-12:30 AM, with extended work hours on Fridays and Saturdays.
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Poway, California.
The pay range for this position is $25.96 - $27.26/hr.
