Director of Program Management

What You’ll Do:

Honeycomb Insurance is seeking a dynamic and strategic Director of Program Management to lead and orchestrate key cross-functional initiatives that drive growth, scalability, and operational excellence. As a critical member of the operations leadership team, this executive-facing role will be responsible for developing and managing high-impact programs across product, engineering, operations, finance, and go-to-market teams. The ideal candidate brings a strong track record in program management within fast-paced, high-growth environments (preferably in insuretech or fintech) and excels at aligning stakeholders, managing competing priorities, and ensuring execution against strategic objectives. This is a high-visibility role offering the opportunity to shape the future of a rapidly scaling company transforming the insurance landscape.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead Cross-Functional Strategic Initiatives: Drive the planning, execution, and delivery of complex programs that support Honeycomb Insurance’s growth and scalability objectives, ensuring alignment across departments.
  • Executive Stakeholder Management: Serve as a trusted advisor to the executive team, providing clear communication, program insights, and data-driven updates on progress, risks, and mitigation strategies.
  • Program Governance & Operational Excellence: Establish and maintain program management best practices, including roadmaps, KPIs, risk management, and reporting frameworks that support organizational maturity.
  • Resource & Prioritization Management: Collaborate with functional leaders to balance resources, manage interdependencies, and resolve conflicts, ensuring teams are focused on the highest-impact initiatives.
  • Change Management & Communication: Champion effective change management strategies and communications that drive adoption, alignment, and transparency across all levels of the organization.

Basic Requirements:

  • Experience: 10+ years of progressive leadership in program execution, with a proven track record of delivering enterprise-scale programs with direct impact on revenue growth, profitability, or cost optimization in the range of tens of millions of dollars. Experience in top-tier consulting, successful fintech or Fortune 100 strategy/operations roles strongly preferred. MBA from a top-tier institution (e.g., M7 or global equivalent) highly preferred.
  • Strategic & Analytical Acumen: Exceptional ability to distill complex data into actionable insights that shape business strategy. Demonstrated experience defining and tracking KPIs to optimize cross-functional programs. Adept at building financial models, scenario plans, and business cases that influence C-suite decision-making.
  • Program Execution & Technical Fluency: Expert-level command of Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall methodologies, with hands-on experience leading global, multi-stakeholder initiatives. Deep fluency in platforms such as Monday.com, Jira, and Confluence, with a focus on systems integration and enterprise toolchains.
  • Influence & Executive Communication: Polished communicator with a proven ability to influence senior executives and Board-level stakeholders. Experience driving alignment and buy-in across product, engineering, marketing, and finance teams at the VP+ level.
  • Leadership & Problem Solving: Trusted leader known for strategic thinking, sound judgment, and creative problem-solving in ambiguous, high-stakes environments. Capable of driving results under pressure while managing both risk and stakeholder expectations.
