This is a 2nd Shift role, the work schedule is: Monday-Friday, 2pm-10:30pm Eastern Time

SUMMARY

Performs various duties in unloading, receiving, and storage of raw materials and supplies; shipping, staging and loading of finished materials; supporting internal and external customer needs; control of inventory; kitting for pre-assembly; distribution of work orders, prints, parts, kits to work centers. Timely and accurate stock replenishment and refills the production line with the required materials to maintain a steady flow. Fills materials requisitions; basic operation of computer systems; and other similar duties pertaining to the receiving, shipping and storage of a large array of raw and finished materials and supplies. Prepares various documents, schedules daily pickups.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Works from computer, prints, verbal and written instructions, as well as established procedures and practices.
  • Checks receipts against purchase orders. Verifies type of material, count, and weight against documentation. Reports discrepancies and damage to supervisor/group leader immediately.
  • Assigns appropriate lot locations to product for best storage and space utilization.
  • Performs pre-assembly.
  • Ensures that materials can be properly tracked during the production process by records/scans/enters work orders.
  • Prepares finished material for shipment.
  • Operates internal and external computer systems.
  • Schedules pick up of finished materials.
  • Provides information as requested to internal and external customers.
  • Performs physical inventory cycle counts and reports findings to Lead, Supervisor, and/or Inventory Control.
  • Operates standard straight body truck to pick up and deliver materials as assigned. Operates mechanical material movement equipment to store and deliver materials to requesters.
  • Follows company policies and practices as outlined in the Employee Handbook and/or applicable employment agreement. Follows safety guidelines and procedures in accordance to the job.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications include:

  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent specific experience.
  • Minimum of 1-2 years experience in material handling.
  • Basic experience with fork lift operation.
  • Able to read and interpret written instructions to include Bills of Material. Knowledge of plant layout including locations of finished products and raw materials.
  • Knowledgeable on paperwork flow for shipping and receiving documents.

  • Must be able to operate in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING CONDITIONS

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be occasionally required to execute standard physical activities within the facility areas (i.e. stand, walk, sit, use hands/fingers).
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be occasionally required to execute non-standard physical activities within the facility areas (i.e. climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch).
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 30 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.
  • This position requires repetitive hand/wrist activities.
