Education Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field or higher with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.

Description :-

We are seeking an experienced Oracle Database Administrator with working knowledge of PostgreSQL to manage, maintain, and optimize our database infrastructure. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring high availability, performance, and security of Oracle databases while also supporting and administering PostgreSQL environments as needed.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain Oracle and PostgreSQL database systems.
• Monitor database performance, implement changes, and apply new patches and versions as required.
• Perform database tuning and optimization for performance and scalability.
• Manage database backup and recovery processes using RMAN and other tools.
• Implement and maintain database security (roles, permissions, encryption).
• Support development and operations teams with SQL tuning and troubleshooting.
• Design and implement high availability and disaster recovery solutions.
• Assist in migration projects, especially from Oracle to PostgreSQL (or vice versa).
• Develop and maintain database documentation, including procedures and standards.
• Participate in on-call rotation and provide 24/7 support for production systems.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

Required:

• 4+ years of experience as an Oracle DBA.
• Proficiency in Oracle 12c/19c with strong skills in PL/SQL, performance tuning, and RMAN.
• Working knowledge of PostgreSQL database administration.
• Strong understanding of database architecture, storage, replication, and partitioning.
• Experience with Oracle Enterprise Manager, Data Guard, and AWR reports.
• Familiarity with Linux/Unix operating systems and shell scripting.

Preferred:

• Experience with tools like pgAdmin, pgBackRest, or Patroni.
• Knowledge of cloud database services (e.g., Azure Database, Oracle Cloud).
• Experience in Oracle to PostgreSQL migration or heterogeneous database environments.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
