We're seeking someone to join our Margin Optimization team as a Java Senior Software Engineer in Prime Brokerage & Sec Fin Tech to deliver business critical functionalities while writing high quality and maintainable code.

In the Technology division, we leverage innovation to build the connections and capabilities that power our Firm, enabling our clients and colleagues to redefine markets and shape the future of our communities. This is a Director level position.

What you'll do in the role:

  • Contribute to the function through complex project tasks and initiatives.
  • Interact regularly with team members and occasionally leadership on a range of topics.
  • Architect solutions that meet performance, scalability, and security requirements
  • Collaborate with team members to understand requirements and deliver on software projects
  • Drive technical excellence through code reviews, design discussions, and knowledge sharing
  • Stay updated on emerging technologies, trends, and tools to drive innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Implement and advocate for best practices in software engineering and design patterns
  • Mentor junior engineers, providing technical guidance and direction.

What you'll bring to the role:

  • Ability to process information, translate into plans and present summaries to stakeholders.
  • Experienced understanding of business line and discipline.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Strong proficiency in software design and architecture
  • Expertise in performance optimization and scalability
  • Ability to drive technical initiatives and provide leadership
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Extensive experience in designing and implementing complex test scenarios.
  • At least 4 years' relevant experience would generally be expected to find the skills required for this role.
