Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or equivalent related practical experience.
  • 2 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, Kotlin).
  • 2 years of experience with data structures or algorithms.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in software system development.
  • Ability to identify and solve challenges.
  • Ability to grow in a fluid and time-sensitive environment.
  • Excellent collaboration skills for teamwork in building complex systems.

The Platforms and Devices team encompasses Google's various computing software platforms across environments (desktop, mobile, applications), as well as our first party devices and services that combine the best of Google AI, software, and hardware. Teams across this area research, design, and develop new technologies to make our user's interaction with computing faster and more seamless, building innovative experiences for our users around the world.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain tools that support the complex carrier configuration system, ensuring network connectivity and functionality across various carriers.
  • Create solutions to test and debug modem functionalities in simulated environments at the forefront of modem subsystem virtualization.
  • Build and refine automated debugging tools designed for Pixel's subsystems, enabling identification and resolution of hardware and software issues.
  • Incorporate AI into applications to improve issue reporting and streamline how those issues are triaged and processed.
  • Provide tooling and infrastructure support to the internal teams, empowering them to accelerate their development cycles and deliver quality features.
