Job Title: Electro-Mechanical Assembler

Job Description

As an Electro-Mechanical Assembler, you will be responsible for reading and interpreting work orders, assembling parts and units according to work instructions, and positioning and aligning parts in specified relationships using fixtures or other holding devices. You will perform operations to join or secure parts, mount components on chassis panels, connect wires, and install finished assemblies in cases and cabinets.

Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret work orders and sample assemblies.
  • Pull parts for shop floor orders and assemble parts/units to work instructions.
  • Receive verbal instructions regarding duties to be performed.
  • Position and align parts in specified relationships using fixtures or other holding devices.
  • Crimp, stake, screw, bolt, rivet, solder, or perform similar operations to join or secure parts.
  • Mount assembled components on chassis panels.
  • Connect component lead wires to printed circuits or route and connect wires between individual component leads and other components.
  • Install finished assemblies or subassemblies in cases and cabinets.
  • Assemble and attach hardware such as caps, clamps, knobs, and switches.
  • Perform intermediate assembly tasks as required.
  • Adjust or trim materials from components to achieve specified electrical or dimensional characteristics.

Essential Skills

  • 1+ years of Mechanical Assembly experience.
  • 1+ years of Manufacturing experience.
  • Experience with hand and power tools.
  • Proficiency in mechanical assembly and electronics.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
  • Soldering skills and electrical assembly experience.
  • Experience with electrical wiring, circuit boards, wiring harness assembly, and crimping.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Ability to lift 50lbs.
  • 1+ year of experience utilizing hand and power tools.

Work Environment

Work in a clean environment at a steady pace. Dress code requires long pants such as jeans, khakis, or Dickies. The position is available for the 1st Shift from 7am to 3:30pm, and there are multiple openings across different assembly lines and shifts, including 2nd Shift from 3pm to 11:30pm.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bethlehem, Pennsylvania.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $19.00/hr.
