Inviting applications for the role of Principal Consultant - Active Directory DC Ops Engineer

In this role, you will play a crucial role in managing and maintaining our Active Directory (AD) infrastructure within our data center environment. This role involves ensuring the availability, security, and performance of AD services, supporting business operations across the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and administer Active Directory services, including user accounts, groups, permissions, and domain controllers.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and maintain AD infrastructure components, including domain controllers, DNS servers, and replication services.
  • Implement and enforce security policies, procedures, and best practices for AD, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Respond to and resolve AD-related incidents and service requests escalated from L1/L2 support teams, ensuring minimal impact on business operations.
  • Identify and implement performance tuning and optimization strategies for AD services to enhance scalability and efficiency.
  • Maintain accurate documentation, including configuration guides, operational procedures, and troubleshooting steps. Generate reports on AD performance and health metrics.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including network engineers, system administrators, and security specialists, to ensure integrated and efficient AD operations.
  • Manage changes to the AD environment through rigorous testing, coordination, and documentation to minimize risks and disruptions.

Qualifications we seek in you!

Minimum Qualifications / Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Experience in managing Active Directory infrastructure and operations within a large enterprise environment.
  • Proficiency in managing and troubleshooting Active Directory services, including domain controllers, Group Policy, DNS, and LDAP.
  • Strong understanding of Windows Server operating systems and associated technologies.
  • Experience with PowerShell scripting for automation and management tasks.
  • Knowledge of AD security best practices, including authentication protocols and access controls.

Preferred Qualifications/ Skills

  • Certification in Microsoft technologies, such as MCSA: Windows Server or MCSE: Core Infrastructure.
  • Experience with Azure Active Directory or hybrid cloud environments.
  • Familiarity with ITIL or other IT service management frameworks.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong commitment to customer service and delivering quality solutions.
