Join Our Team as a Working Foreman in Civil Construction
We're hiring a hands-on Working Foreman with experience in residential land development, utility construction, and heavy equipment operation. This is a key leadership role in the field—ideal for someone ready to lead crews, operate equipment, and drive utility infrastructure projects to completion.
As a Foreman, you will oversee site preparation, excavation, trenching, grading, and water/sewer installation. Your ability to interpret civil drawings, uphold safety compliance, and manage timelines will be crucial to project success.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise field crews on-site for residential development and utility construction projects
- Operate heavy equipment, including excavators, dozers, backhoes, loaders, and water trucks
- Install and inspect underground utilities such as water and sewer lines
- Read and interpret blueprints, site plans, and grading layouts
- Maintain safety protocols per OSHA and internal standards
- Communicate with project managers, inspectors, and subcontractors
- Track daily job progress, hours, materials, and equipment usage
- Train and mentor crew members in proper construction practices and site expectations
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Foreman or Lead Operator in residential development or civil utility construction
- Skilled in operating heavy machinery and managing site crews
- Strong knowledge of underground utility installation, earthwork, and construction safety
- Ability to read engineering plans and grade stakes accurately
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Valid driver’s license (CDL preferred)
- Willingness to travel to local job sites as needed
Preferred Qualifications:
- OSHA certification or other relevant safety credentials
- Experience in residential home building and subdivision development
