Description

About the Role:

At Spartronics, we are seeking a motivated Materials Handler to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing inventory transactions, ensuring the accuracy of our inventory, and supporting the preparation of production kits. This role requires operating forklifts and a commitment to maintaining a safe and efficient warehouse environment.

Essential Job Functions:

• Execute inventory transactions and receive incoming inventory, ensuring proper documentation and organization.
• Audit inventory for accuracy to identify discrepancies and maintain optimal stock levels.
• Prepare kits for production, including gathering shortages and supplies.
• Perform forklift responsibilities safely and efficiently, following all safety protocols.
• Ship products to customers, ensuring that all items are packaged securely and shipped on time.
• Prepares waybills for shipping via FEDEX/UPS and ensures accurate labeling.
• Physically move inventory components as required within the warehouse to facilitate smooth operations.

Requirements

Education, Skills, and Requirements:

• High School diploma or equivalent required; additional relevant certifications are a plus.
• 1 - 3 years of experience in a warehouse or materials handling role preferred.
• Familiarity with inventory management systems and shipping processes.
• Ability to operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment (certification required, provided onsite).
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Proficient with computers and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Solid attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. DoD Security Clearance.

Work Schedule:

• 4-day/10-hour work week
• 2nd Shift: Monday – Thursday, 4:00 PM - 2:30 AM
• Shift Differential: Employees working the second shift will receive an additional $1.50 per hour in addition to their base hourly rate.
• Overtime: The goal is to limit overtime, but it is a reality in the manufacturing industry.
