Product Owner, Tendering and Ordering, New Building Solutions

In this role you work in close collaboration with KONE New Building Solutions business line, stakeholders and key user network globally, and with them create concepts and functional specifications for the future Tender and Ordering process flow. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams in IT including design & development to deliver best-in-class digital experience.

KTOC (Kone Tendering and Ordering Configurator) is at the core of the Tendering and Ordering process, enabling Sales Personnel globally to create tenders to the customers, and trigger the order configurations of won orders to SAP. KTOC Product Owner is a high impact position with a great view to New Building Solutions business, but also into Supply Chain, R&D and IT processes with multiple integrations and dependencies.

In this role, you get to:

  • Realize maximum value from product investments through the product life cycle by defining the product roadmap, prioritizing the backlog, and planning the execution of development.
  • Clarify stakeholder requirements and translate them into backlog items.
  • Own the solution design of digital services used by KONE Sales Personnel, while understanding the big picture and dependencies on integrated solutions.
  • Set up product performance KPIs and targets including for operations and benefit realization. Responsible for tracking the KPIs and communicating with stakeholders.
  • Lead agile ways of working and quarterly planning, bringing clarity of the prioritized product backlog to stakeholders and development teams.
  • Ensure that product operations and performance are aligned with the product value proposition, and corrective actions are taken when needed.
  • Manage financials during the product lifecycle, including development costs, license costs, and run costs.
  • Lead and promote continuous improvement of IT products and ways of working within the teams.
  • Use feedback loops to understand stakeholder and user needs and use that knowledge while planning and executing the product roadmap
  • Stay informed about industry trends and best practices to drive innovation and competitive advantage in KONE delivery operations.

Skills & experience we`re looking for:

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in working with product development incl. IT processes, system development and cloud-based technologies.
  • Proven track record as Product Owner, Product Designer, or similar role, ideally with digital product development
  • Experience with CPQ (configure, price, quote) solutions is an advantage
  • A highly motivated team player with a service-oriented mindset, enjoy consulting and co-creating impactful solutions.
  • Committed to delivering exceptional digital experiences and fostering continuous improvement, with drive and respectful ways of working.
  • Hands-on experience in applying design thinking techniques combined with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, XP) and DevOps practices.
  • Proven experience working in an international environment with the ability to excel in virtual organizations. Ability to both work independently as well as contribute effectively to virtual teams in a multicultural setting.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills in English with business stakeholders, with the ability to convey complex topics in clear and engaging manner.
  • Open-minded with a sense of humor, contributing to a positive and dynamic work environment.
