Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Software Engineer with Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) responsibilities to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our JIRA infrastructure, as well as developing custom solutions to enhance our DevOps practices and ensure the reliability and performance of our systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background software development and DevOps principles.

In your new role you will:

  • Be responsible for Jira administration, configuration and maintaining Jira instances and relevant components, plug-ins and integrations
  • Support the development of custom solutions using Java, Python, or other programming languages to extend JIRA's functionality including custom plugins, scripts to support automation of workflows and integrations
  • Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines as well as test automations using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or other
  • Ensure reliability, availability, scalability and performance of all Jira instances through automations of deployment processes, system monitoring and scaling infrastructure
  • Collaborate and work in cross-functional teams in an Agile setup and follow DevOps practices

Your Profile

You are best equipped for this task if you have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
  • 1-3 years of experience of working as an IT software engineer
  • Experience in Java, Python, or other programming languages
  • Experience with CI/CD tools, such as Jenkins or GitLab CI/CD
  • Familiarity with agile development methodologies, such as Scrum or Kanban
  • Experience with monitoring and alerting tools, such as Prometheus, Grafana, or New Relic
  • Knowledge of Linux/Unix operating systems, networking protocols, and distributed systems
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
  • Fluent (written and verbal) in English is a must and basic German is an advantage
