The Work

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cyber Software Senior Engineer with a strong background cyber capability development and integration.

In this role, you will be an integrated member of an Agile Cyber Product Team, supporting multiple programs within the IWSS organization.

Responsibilities will include the full scope of the systems engineering process with a focus in cyber capability development and integration.

Tasking will include requirements development and analysis, capability design documentation, product selection, development, integration, regression testing, and delivery of cyber capability solutions to IWSS program's Linux based tactical systems.

Please note:

This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a government DoD clearance at the Secret level.

The ability to travel up to 10%.

This position is located in Moorestown, New Jersey — a major engineering and technology hub for Lockheed Martin. Moorestown is home to some of our most advanced radar and naval combat system programs, offering a collaborative and technically engaging environment.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field
  • 2+ years related professional experience or related Master's Degree and no experience
  • Proficient in Linux command line and Linux troubleshooting
  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and systems engineering
  • Willingness to learn security engineering concepts as they relate to the Security+ or CISSP certification.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance (US citizenship is required).
  • The ability to travel up to 10%.

Desired Skills:

  • Advanced degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field
  • Security+, Linux+, or Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or similar certification
  • Experience with agile development methodologies and DevSecOps practices
  • Knowledge of cloud-based technologies and containerization (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Programming skills in languages such as Java, C++, or Python
  • Experience with automation tools and scripting languages, such as Ansible, Bash, or PowerShell

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $90,200 - $159,045. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
