The Opportunity

Following a series of project wins we have a strong pipeline of work nationally. We are looking for enthusiastic, experienced Principal Structural Engineers to join our growing team.

Reporting to the Discipline Manager, you will be responsible for the technical leadership of major defence, buildings and infrastructure projects here in South Australia and nationally, mentoring teams, managing stakeholders and delivering exceptional results for our clients

In this role you will:

  • Have the opportunity to support major projects on a national scale
  • Mentor and provide technical assistance and guidance to junior engineers and drafters
  • Support Adelaide based projects and assist other KBR locations
  • Work closely with mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, civil, and other engineers in the delivery of projects and proposals for a range of clients and infrastructure types
  • Take part in the management of small projects and proposals or work packages on a larger project
  • Undertake other reasonable duties in line with the requirements of this role

As the ideal applicant you will have

  • Experience in leading projects and teams
  • A strong market presence.
  • Proficiency in preparing and reviewing reports and technical specifications
  • Proficiency in delivering work according to budget, schedule, and quality requirements
  • The ability to liaise with peers, subordinates, and clients
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Structural Engineering
  • The ability to work independently and within a team to deliver project documentation requirements within a multi-disciplinary project according to budget, schedule, and quality requirement
  • A Practical knowledge and commitment to Health and Safety and comply with safety, environmental, quality controls and relevant review and approval processes
