Technical Business Analyst, AI and Data, Technology Consulting

The opportunity

As a Technical Business Analyst, you will support our clients in defining and implementing a data journey aligned with their strategic objectives. You will be part of our delivery team and work consultatively across various data environments, helping our clients solve their business problems.

This role is based in our Melbourne, Australia office. Our roles can potentially be adjusted to work flexibly with reduced hours. Please speak with us about potential options.

Your key responsibilities

  • Effective management and delivery of one or more processes, solutions and/or projects, ensuring a focus on quality and effective risk management.
  • Continuous process improvement, the identification of innovative solutions through research and analysis, insight and experience of best practices.
  • Create requirement specifications, analysing requirements, creating visual models, facilitating elicitation sessions, and digging around in the data when needed.
  • Design and build reports – capture data requirements for the client and team
  • Manage or supervise team members to deliver complex technical initiatives, with accountability for performance and results

What we look for

  • Demonstrated experience creating requirements specifications, analysing requirements, creating visual models, facilitating workshop sessions, and using the necessary business analyst tools.
  • Demonstrated expertise in data migration processes, including planning, execution, and validation, ensuring seamless transition of data between systems while maintaining data integrity and compliance with business requirements.
  • Demonstrated advanced knowledge and experience with data migration, SQL and programming skills such as Python and R

Ideally, you’ll also have the skills and attributes below, but don’t worry if you don’t tick all the boxes. We’re interested in your aptitude, attitude and willingness to learn.

  • Knowledge and experience in end-to-end project delivery, either traditional SDLC or agile delivery methodologies (or hybrid approaches).
  • Leads by example and models behaviours that support a culture of safety, health and wellness.
  • Excellent communication skills, and the ability to communicate and present information with purpose, clarity and impact
