The Amazon Healthcare Security team is looking for an experienced Sr. Technical Program Manager to join our dynamic team.

This role will focus on driving security issue management programs for Amazon's healthcare services and solutions, ensuring the protection of sensitive patient data while enabling innovation in healthcare delivery. You will collaborate with engineering teams, security professionals, healthcare compliance specialists, and business stakeholders to develop and implement robust security processes that scale with our rapidly growing healthcare business.

In this role, you will lead programs that identify, prioritize, and remediate security vulnerabilities across Amazon's healthcare portfolio. You will drive the execution of complex, cross-functional security initiatives that enhance our security posture while maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations including HIPAA, GDPR, and other applicable standards. You will also establish metrics and reporting mechanisms to provide visibility into security risks and remediation progress to leadership.

Key job responsibilities

Drive the development and implementation of security issue management programs specific to healthcare services and solutions across Amazon. Partner with security engineering teams to establish security requirements and integrate security controls into healthcare product development lifecycles. Lead vulnerability management efforts, including identification, prioritization, and remediation tracking of security issues affecting healthcare data and systems.

Develop and maintain security metrics and dashboards to track program performance and provide visibility to leadership on security posture across healthcare offerings. Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders across the healthcare business, security teams, compliance teams, and external partners to ensure alignment on security priorities and initiatives.

Facilitate security risk assessments and develop risk mitigation strategies in collaboration with security architects and healthcare compliance specialists. Lead security incident response planning and exercises specific to healthcare data breach scenarios. Create and maintain security documentation, including policies, procedures, and technical specifications aligned with healthcare compliance requirements.

Identify opportunities for automation and efficiency improvements in security processes while maintaining the highest standards of protection for sensitive healthcare data. Serve as a security subject matter expert for healthcare teams, providing guidance on security best practices and regulatory compliance requirements.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelors Degree and 5+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience
  • 6+ years of technical product or program management experience
  • Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules
  • Understanding of SDLC and Architecture System Design with the ability to ensure functionality and tradeoffs in terms of scalability, maintainability, extensibility, performance, and security.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 7+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science or equivalent

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $133,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $231,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
