Work with a team of software engineers to deliver new features for the product, covering all stages of the new feature development from ideation, requirement gathering, and design to full implementation.

What You Will Do:
- Participate in the team’s on-call rotations, responding to alerts or customer issues and ensuring the overall health of the product.
- Investigate issues reported by customers and collaborate with technical support teams to resolve the issues.
- Investigate issues on managed systems and report issues determined to be caused by software defects as bugs to the upstream development teams via Jira cards.
- Develop unit and end-to-end tests for team-owned features, ensuring that those features are resilient across platform updates and differences in customers’ environments.
- Be responsible for the deployment and maintenance of customers’ managed OpenShift clusters and their underlying cloud-based infrastructure.
- Participate in gap analyses for platform updates and test new features as they are being developed.
- Update unit and end-to-end tests over time to ensure the product’s resiliency to change. Participate in the product’s release process, ensuring testing suites are executed properly so that features and bug fixes can be delivered in a timely manner.
- Write and use product documentation to ensure new features are built appropriately and to assist in troubleshooting and resolving customer issues.
- Investigate and troubleshoot issues on customers’ systems, using knowledge of the product/code and information gained from config files and logs to resolve the issues.
- Set up testing environments on local hardware to execute unit and end-to-end tests before submitting modifications to the product’s code base, or to reproduce customer issues and test solutions before making recommendations to customers.
- Work with a variety of other teams in the company, including upstream product developers, technical support engineers, account executives, and consultants to ensure quick resolution of customer issues and general customer satisfaction.
What You Will Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field.
- Position requires working knowledge of the following skills gained through coursework or experience: building cloud resource providers (AWS, Azure, or GCP); software engineering using Golang or python; containers and Kubernetes on Linux; microservices development and architecture; and distributed source control systems with git/gitlab.

The salary range for this position is $90,330 - $144,580. Actual offer will be based on your qualifications.

Red Hat determines compensation based on several factors including but not limited to job location, experience, applicable skills and training, external market value, and internal pay equity. Annual salary is one component of Red Hat’s compensation package. This position may also be eligible for bonus, commission, and/or equity. For positions with Remote-US locations, the actual salary range for the position may differ based on location but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience.
