Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at our plastic manufacturing facility in Mayfield, PA. The successful candidate will contribute to maintaining and repairing equipment, ensuring smooth and efficient operations in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform basic maintenance work and replace parts under direct supervision.
  • Replace and repair parts, rebuild equipment, and align gears, shafts, pulleys, and belts.
  • Utilize illustrated parts breakdown manuals and operational manuals for equipment repair, modification, and maintenance.
  • Assist in inventory control of parts and equipment used from inventory.
  • Respond to all assigned maintenance work orders promptly.
  • Assist in preventive maintenance activities according to the preventive maintenance plan under supervision.
  • Perform housekeeping duties, including work area clean-up and machine and equipment clean-up.
  • Participate in maintenance training programs to enhance skills in electrical or mechanical fields.
  • Maintain compliance with OSHA regulations.
  • Learn and follow all safety regulations and job instructions.
  • Operate a Maintenance Truck for picking up parts and materials.

Essential Skills

  • Experience in production support and mechanical maintenance.
  • Knowledge of preventive maintenance, repair, and industrial troubleshooting.
  • Ability to work with power tools, hydraulics, and perform maintenance repair.
  • Competence in using hand tools and tape measures.
  • Understanding of PLC troubleshooting.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience in general labor, assembly, and industrial maintenance.
  • Familiarity with maintenance repair and hydraulics.

Work Environment

Work in an older building dedicated to plastic manufacturing. The facility operates on two shifts: 1st shift from 6am to 2:30pm, and 2nd shift from 8am to 4:30pm. Employees enjoy a structured schedule with a half-hour unpaid lunch break.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Mayfield, Pennsylvania.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $21.00/hr.
