Aerotek is hiring a Lead Machinist - 2nd Shift

Job Description

The Lead Machinist will expertly operate CNC machinery to perform various tasks with precision and safety. This role requires a highly skilled individual who can work with meticulous attention to detail and adhere to all safety guidelines. The ideal candidate possesses a strong mechanical aptitude and an eye for detail.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and operate CNC machines to perform tasks such as drilling, turning, grinding, and milling.
• Understand task specifications and desired outcomes by reading engineering drawings and other documents.
• Load raw materials and parts onto the machines.
• Conduct test runs to ensure machines produce outputs according to specifications.
• Monitor machines closely during operations and make necessary adjustments to improve results.
• Inspect and measure finished products to ensure compliance with requirements.
• Perform daily inspections and maintenance on machinery to ensure functionality.

Essential Skills

• Proven experience as a CNC operator.
• Proficient in operating CNC machinery and tooling, along with precision measurement tools.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical and engineering documents and drawings.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and good mathematical skills.
• Keen eye for detail with a results-driven approach.
• Excellent communication abilities.
• Reliability and perfect attendance are essential.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Certificate or diploma from a CNC machining school or technical college is a plus.

Work Environment

Work in a non-climate-controlled manufacturing environment on the 2nd shift from 1:45 PM to 10:15 PM, Monday through Friday.

This is a Permanent position based out of Olive Branch, Mississippi.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $41600.00 - $54080.00/yr.
