Job Description

We are seeking dedicated Assemblers to join a large manufacturer and distributor of solar trackers and structures for solar panels. As an Assembler, you will play a crucial role in constructing the frameworks that support solar panels, ensuring they are securely built and ready for installation.

Responsibilities

  • Bolt up and fasten nuts/screws on structural steel to build solar panel structures.
  • Position pieces on tables and install rivets in steel.
  • Consistently move parts and perform repetitive processes to advance products down the production line.

Essential Skills

  • Proficiency with hand tools and power tools.
  • Mechanical inclination.
  • Experience in structural steel manufacturing.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience working in non-climate-controlled environments.
  • Ability to work 45+ hours across 6+ days per week.
  • Experience as an assembler, structural steel fabricator, punch press operator, press brake operator, or forklift operator.
  • Previous experience in solar manufacturing environments.
  • Machine operation of steel parts.

Employees will work alongside assemblers, plasma cutters, press brake operators, forklift operators, and general fabricators. Work hours are Monday to Friday, with most Saturdays (6 hours) and alternating Sundays (6 hours), averaging 45 to 52 hours weekly.

Shifts include 1st Shift (6:00am - 2:00pm), 2nd Shift (2:00pm - 10:00pm), and 3rd Shift (10:00pm - 6:00am), each with a 30-minute break.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Houston, Texas.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $19.00/hr.
