Job Title: Stand Up Forklift Operator

Job Type: Contract-to-Hire

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Stand Up Forklift Operator to support operations in a fast-paced meat production facility. This role involves operating stand up forklifts (Crown or Raymond), managing material flow, and ensuring accurate documentation of inventory and productivity. Candidates must be comfortable working in cold environments and spending time both on and off the forklift.

Responsibilities:

• Operate stand up forklifts (Crown or Raymond) in narrow aisles.
• Pull stacks of meat to maintain continuous production flow.
• Record productivity and material movement using computer systems.
• Perform palletizing, counting, and material handling (approximately 40% off the forklift).
• Collaborate with a team of 20+ forklift operators in a high-volume environment.

Essential Skills:

• Proven experience operating stand up forklifts (Crown or Raymond).
• Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environments.
• Willingness to work weekends as needed.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• Experience working in freezer or cold storage environments.
• Background in food production or warehouse operations.
• Familiarity with RF systems and inventory tracking.
• Previous experience in the food industry is a plus.

Work Environment:

Shifts:

• 1st Shift:4:00 AM – 2:30 PM
• 2nd Shift:2:00 PM – 10:30 PM
• 3rd Shift:11:00 PM – 7:30 AM

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.10 - $19.35/hr.
