Job Title: Lathe Machinist

Job Description

This position involves the setup and operation of CNC multifunction turn twin spindle and twin or triple turret lathes, primarily Nakamura machines. While programming skills are a plus, candidates should have experience in an aerospace shop and be familiar with a variety of gauges. The role includes reading part prints, ensuring parts meet customer specifications, and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate CNC multifunction turn twin spindle and twin or triple turret lathes, mostly Nakamura.
  • Read part prints and ensure parts meet customer specifications.
  • Troubleshoot issues that arise during the machining process.
  • Collaborate with team members to solve problems and achieve goals.
  • Maintain a high standard of quality in all machined parts.

Essential Skills

  • Experience with twin spindle, twin turret machines.
  • Ability to use live tooling and Fanuc controls.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in setup on twin turret lathes.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Programming experience with CNC machines.
  • Experience with mills or Swiss machines is a plus.
  • Foreman or lead experience is advantageous.
  • Creative problem-solving and teamwork skills.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $50000.00 - $75000.00/yr.
