Work with a variety of tools and machinery to aid in the fabrication, maintenance, and repair of component parts and products. Conduct all activities in a safe manner and follow all safety rules and regulations. Training may be required in order to understand industry processes and standards.
What You Will Do
- Use a variety of tools and machinery to assemble, make or repair component parts and products
- Interpret technical documents, such as diagrams, schematics, blueprints, or other verbal or written instructions.
- Ensure that all parts and products are in proper working order and meet the quality standards of the company and industry; identify any defective items and handle according to established quality procedures; fill out all paperwork as required.
- Work with other members of the group in order to ensure products are assembled in accordance with standard procedure.
- Maintain work area, along with machines, tools, and equipment in a safe, neat, clean and orderly condition.
- Meet all safety requirements of the company and industry.
- Identify and assist in remediation of any and all safety hazards in the work place.
- Perform all job functions in accordance with established operating procedures.
- Perform other duties as directed by Team Leader/Supervisor.
What You Will Have
- Ability to lift 50 pounds
- Aptitude for mechanics and an eye for detail; excellent hand-eye coordination
- Ability to use reason to solve problems as they arise
- Ability to use measuring equipment such as measuring tapes, verniers and calipers, and read gauges
- Ability to follow detailed instructions in order to meet safety and quality requirements.
- Ability to be certified to operate a forklift and use hoists to pick up heavy parts
- Ability to comprehend and follow detailed verbal or written instructions, as well as diagrams, blueprints, and other technical documents
- Must be team player who is willing to work with those in their assigned groups
- Must be willing to perform repetitive tasks while sitting or standing for extended periods of time
- Must have good eyesight, including depth perception, peripheral vision, and ability to differentiate between colors
- General computer skills
