Job Title: Mechanical Assembler

Job Description

Join our expanding Lynnwood, WA facility in the Maritime Systems Division, where we develop, integrate, and deploy advanced technology solutions for maritime missions within the Department of Defense. We are seeking a Lead Electro-Mechanical Production Technician to join our lean manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will support the selection and hiring of additional technicians and work closely with manufacturing engineers to create and test electro-mechanical devices.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble complex electro-mechanical systems and sub-systems, including polyurethane encapsulation and soldering.
  • Perform tests and data collection using lab equipment such as Impedance Analyzers.
  • Maintain high-quality standards and ensure an organized, clean workspace.
  • Foster continuous improvement using industry best practices like Root Cause Analysis and Kaizen.
  • Follow precise Standard Work instructions and empower team members to contribute to their improvement.
  • Cross-train and mentor team members.

Essential Skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent (must be verified).
  • 3+ years of relevant experience in electro-mechanical product development and production for DoD requirements.
  • Experience in inspection and testing of CCAs and Piezo electrics.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and understand assembly drawings.
  • Proficient in using crimpers, wire strippers, soldering irons, hand tools, power tools, adhesives, and scales.
  • Competent in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio).
  • Experience with ESD, FOD, and EH&S requirements.
  • Possess a SECRET security clearance or the ability to rapidly attain one.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience handling Hazmat.
  • J-STD-001 and/or IPC-A-610 Certification.
  • Kitting experience.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management Standards.
  • Experience in world-class lean manufacturing.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lynnwood, Washington.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $30.00/hr.
