Position Summary

TRS is seeking a DevOps Administrator who will oversee the deployment of software to both production and pre-production environments. This role involves close collaboration with PMO, development and QA teams to plan and execute application package deployments. The DevOps Administrator serves as the primary technical expert for monitoring, troubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolving deployment-related issues. Reporting to the Deputy Director of IT Development Operations, key duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Responsibilities

  • Deploy new project and maintenance releases to production and configure control data for each deployment.
  • Plan and execute large-scale data migrations across multiple systems with minimal downtime and maximum data integrity.
  • Create and update PowerShell scripts to automate deployment processes, aiming to minimize or eliminate the need for manual intervention in routine DevOps tasks.
  • Perform environment refreshes for lower environments using automated scripts, ensuring timely and reliable availability.
  • Manage periodic upgrades of third-party software tools, ensuring all systems remain up to date with the latest stable versions.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of all routine DevOps tasks and ensure it is regularly updated.
  • Provide DevOps support for member portal functionality during off-peak hours, as needed.
  • Collaborate closely with Development, QA, PMO, and Infrastructure teams to ensure timely resolution of DevOps-related issues and smooth system operation.
  • Support change management processes for legacy systems until they are fully decommissioned.
  • Enforce strict security protocols across production and non-production environments, ensuring all access permissions are granted only with proper documented approval.

Preferred Skills

  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines.
  • Five (5) or more years of experience reconciling financial data using large datasets and complex spreadsheets.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to clearly present findings clearly to stakeholders.
  • Proactive problem-solver, skilled in identifying issues, collaborating with peers, and recommending solutions.
  • Quick learner, capable of independently navigating internal systems (ASPEN and UPS). Flexible and adaptable to changes.
  • Comfortable implementing new approaches to resolve operational challenges and improve workflow.
  • Experienced drafting reports, summaries, and correspondence for internal stakeholders.
  • Able to interpret project plans and policy documentation with minimal supervision.
  • Microsoft PowerShell scripting language training and exposure.
  • Knowledge of DEVOPS concepts and techniques.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet close deadlines.
  • Ability to set priorities and complete assignments on time.
  • Ability to analyze, organize and prioritize work while meeting multiple deadlines

COMPUTER SPECIALIST (OPERATION - 13622

Qualifications

(1) A four-year high school diploma or its educational equivalent plus a certificate from an accredited technical school (approximately 675 hours) with a specialization in computer operations, and three years of satisfactory, full-time large-scale mainframe computer operations or three years of satisfactory data communication network experience in a mainframe environment, one year of which must have been in a project leader capacity or as a major contributor on a complex project; or

(2) A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college and four years of satisfactory, full-time experience as described in “1” above, including one year of which must have been in a project leader capacity or as a major contributor on a complex project; or

(3) A four-year high school diploma or its educational equivalent and five years of satisfactory, fulltime experience as described in “1” above, including one year of which must have been in a project leader capacity or as a major contributor on a complex project; or

(4) A satisfactory combination of education and/or experience which is equivalent to “1,” “2,” or “3” above. However, all candidates must have at least a four-year high school diploma or its educational equivalent and three years of satisfactory, full-time large-scale mainframe computer operations or three years of satisfactory data communication network experience in a mainframe environment, one year of which must have been in a project leader capacity or as a major contributor on a complex project.
