The Enterprise Architect works as part of a dynamic and collaborative team that is responsible for understanding how Cook’s IT landscape is changing and provides oversight for technical direction that drives us to be prepared and ready to thrive. As a key member of a strategic and collaborative team, the Enterprise Architect systematically evaluates Cook’s evolving IT landscape, providing comprehensive oversight to ensure technological initiatives remain innovative, resilient, and aligned with the organization's long-term objectives. This specific role is a member of the technical leadership team supporting digital transformation in manufacturing, distribution, and operations functions. This role will focus on aligning solutions across multiple areas of our business which includes enterprise resource planning, product lifecycle management, manufacturing execution, supply chain management, and product labeling. In alignment with enterprise architectural practices, the Enterprise Architect works closely with a team of Product Managers, Business Systems Analysts, Functional Leads, Solution Architects, Software Engineers, and others to ensure high quality, well-designed solutions are delivered to support business goals. This role has responsibilities for solutions deployed both domestically as well as across the globe.
Someone who would be successful in this role has experience driving the completion of complex enterprise projects that align with the goals and requirements of the business with technical solutions. This involves analyzing the current state, defining the future state, and creating a roadmap for the transition. This role requires that you have an understanding of multiple architecture domains: application, data, technology, and security. Additionally, it will require you to understand a wide range of technical concepts including cloud computing, infrastructure and networking, relational databases, data structures (e.g., JSON, XML), APIs, programming/scripting, and system integrations.
You should have demonstrated experience effectively collaborating with stakeholders, including the ability to communicate and document architecture and direction to both business and technical partners. Candidates should be proficient in leveraging established enterprise architecture methodologies and frameworks such as TOGAF, Zachman, and other recognized standards to ensure that our technical direction remains aligned with both industry best practices and our long-term business strategy. You must be an excellent problem solver and leader who can identify technical problems and develop creative solutions for numerous applications and platforms. Experience involving migrations and integrations between existing and newly implemented applications is necessary to fully deliver value in our connected environment.
