This role has been designed as ‘Hybrid’ with an expectation that you will work on average 2 days per week from an HPE office.

Job Description:

Reporting to the Sr. Director of HPE’s Private Cloud Control Plane, the Engineering Services Sr. Manager will oversee a multi-faceted team focusing on DevOps, and Release Management. Supported product lines include HPE’s Private Cloud portfolio, inclusive of support for VM Essentials and AI Essentials. This role will act in a player-coach fashion, with the ideal candidate having experience in leading teams, but also making significant recent technical contributions as an individual contributor.

Responsibilities and Necessary Knowledge

  • Guide team of engineers to owning Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines
  • Collaborate with non-executive and executive engineering leadership
  • Guide and develop team in SecOps Practices and ensure adherence to security best practices.
  • Automation of release process with end-user experience in mind.
  • Should have experience or familiarity with: OSRB, VTN, Signing, STROSS, SMTA, MSC, SWCAT
  • Expertise in Networking, Storage & Infrastructure
  • Expertise in Private Cloud and Cloud Computing
  • Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes

Experience & Education

  • 12+ years of experience in DevOps, Software Engineering
  • 5+ years of people leadership experience
  • Degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or other related field, or Equivalent Work Experience

The expected salary/wage range for a U.S.-based hire filling this position is provided below. Actual offer may vary from this range based upon geographic location, work experience, education/training, and/or skill level. If this is a sales role, then the listed salary range reflects combined base salary and target-level sales compensation pay. If this is a non-sales role, then the listed salary range reflects base salary only. Variable incentives may also be offered. USD Annual Salary: $165,500.00 - $314,500.00
