Senior Software Engineer - Salesforce OMS

Marriott International is seeking a Senior Software Engineer, Salesforce OMS for the implementation and on-going support of a new OMS & Commerce platform.

The ideal candidate will be part of a collaborative project team, responsible for understanding business requirements, development, reviewing code, writing unit test scenarios, and fixing defects for in-use modules/applications. He/she will be responsible for providing technical guidance and leading the team towards successfully delivering projects.

Responsibilities

  • Leverage Salesforce OMS expertise to function as technical architect and hands-on Salesforce engineer
  • Deliver technical solutions with focus on security, privacy, scalability, and performance
  • Serve as lead Salesforce developer, ensuring adherence to best practices and quality standards and coaching and mentoring team members
  • Review and approve design documents, code reviews, test plans, and deployment plans
  • Make informed decisions on architectural design, considering tradeoffs, benefits, and recommendations
  • Collaborate with business analysts and product managers to understand requirements and translate into solutions

Skills/Experience

  • 6+ years of work experience performing relevant engineering job functions preferably in the eCommerce space.
  • 6+ years of Salesforce development experience with mastery of Apex programming, JavaScript, Visualforce, LWC, SOQL, SOSL, and Salesforce APIs.
  • Deep knowledge of the Salesforce platform and experience with multiple Salesforce products: OMS, OCI, Service Cloud, Commerce Cloud
  • Understanding of data and system integration tools, methods and platforms
  • Experience with Kafka, SQL, GitHub, CI/CD, Eclipse IDEs, and JavaScript/HTML/CSS is a plus.
  • Exceptional problem solving and troubleshooting abilities.
  • B.S. Computer Science, Software Engineering, MIS or equivalent work experience
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, problem solving and follow-through abilities
  • Must hold at least one of the following Salesforce Certifications (Platform App Builder, Platform Developer 1, JavaScript Developer 1, OMS Developer)

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

The pay range for this position is $47.35 to $84.09 per hour.

Washington Applicants Only: Employees will accrue 0.0334 PTO balance for every hour worked and eligible to receive minimum of 9 holidays annually.
