Role Summary
As Director of AI Systems Design & Enablement, you will be accountable for designing and operationalizing the core technical frameworks that underpin Pfizer’s Enterprise Agentic AI strategy. Reporting into the Lead of Applied AI & Agentic Solutions, your remit spans across all AI solution teams globally, driving the standardization, safety, and reusability of AI capabilities aligned with Executive Leadership Team (ELT) priorities.
You will lead the creation of shared SDKs, evaluation frameworks, and reference architectures that empower product-aligned AI teams to deliver scalable, enterprise-grade AI solutions—accelerating development timelines, improving safety, and ensuring reproducibility. Your work will directly support cross-functional initiatives and other priority use cases sponsored by executive stakeholders.
You will also be a key voice in shaping the technical strategy of the AI Center of Excellence (CoE), and play a critical role in knowledge transfer, mentoring, and engineering culture.

Enterprise AI development often stalls due to fragmented tooling, inconsistent standards, and duplicated effort. This role ensures that all AI workstreams—whether in medical, commercial, or research domains—can build on a solid foundation of reusable, safe, and performant components. You will enable the AI Center of Excellence to move from bespoke solutions to standardized systems, accelerating progress on flagship initiatives sponsored by the ELT and their direct reports.
Your contributions will elevate the technical maturity of Pfizer’s AI estate, empower dozens of AI Engineers and Data Scientists across functions, and make agentic AI innovation safer and faster.
