Job Description:
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Forklift Operator to join our team in a recycling yard environment. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions and will be responsible for sorting various recyclable materials, including steel, aluminum, and other metals.
Responsibilities:
- Operate a forklift to move and load materials within the yard.
- Sort and separate recyclable materials, including steel, aluminum, and other metals.
- Ensure safe and efficient handling of materials.
- Assist with organizing inventory in the yard.
- Perform regular inspections and maintenance of forklift equipment.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and procedures.
- Work efficiently outdoors in varying weather conditions (rain, heat, cold, etc.).
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Requirements:
- Proven experience operating a forklift (certification preferred).
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Comfortable sorting and handling various types of recyclable materials.
- Strong attention to safety and detail.
- Ability to lift up to [insert weight] pounds.
- Good communication skills and team player.
- Previous experience in a recycling or industrial environment is a plus.
