Senior Software Engineer

We have an opportunity for a Senior Software Engineer to join our Engineering team in Bangalore, reporting to the senior manager of Software Engineering. In this role, you will work on architecture, design, development, and implementation of the enhancement needed in our products to integrate smoothly with the public cloud offering like Azure, Amazon, or Google Cloud. These enhancements enable the Infoblox product to spin-up into these clouds, collect IPAM and networking information, and deliver DNS service. This role requires a solid understanding of both the Infoblox product and the public cloud ecosystems, more specifically their networking organization, their VM image formats, and their APIs. In this role, you will have an opportunity to be a part of the team solving massive scale, performance challenges, building, and maintaining next-generation network actionable intelligence products.

Be a Contributor — What You’ll Do

  • Participate in architecture creation to address long-term design objectives
  • Provide technical leadership for product features, taking them from conception to delivery
  • Generate software designs and scope effort for new product features, operating in a very agile environment
  • Create software developed using C++, Golang for a Windows/Linux based operating system
  • Mentor, guide, and provide design and code reviews for other engineers
  • Work with QA to help define effective test strategies and techniques
  • Work with Sustaining Engineering and Customer Technical Support to diagnose and resolve challenging field issues
  • Provide design and code reviews for other engineers

Be Prepared — What You Bring

  • 8+ years of experience in C++ software development with demonstrated experience in leading design efforts
  • Solid C++ programming skills, with minimum experience with different virtualization environments including VMware, Microsoft, and Citrix
  • Experience working with OpenStack Private Cloud environment
  • Experience in networking technologies, including TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP is must
  • Experience in Golang is a plus
  • Experience in Cloud Services specialized in Azure/AWS/GCP
  • Knowledge of networking is important, including experience with network management and SNMP
  • Proven track record of shipping quality software products on time
  • Outstanding problem analysis and diagnostic capabilities
  • Ability to lead small teams or work independently as needed
  • Bachelor’s degree in CS, CE, EE or equivalent is required; master’s degree in CS, preferred
