Job Title: Embedded Software Engineer

Job Description

The Software Embedded Engineer will work on deployable space structures, specifically focusing on satellite wings. This role is pivotal in building the software engineering team, starting with collaboration between Software, Hardware, and FPGA Engineers to propose and develop innovative solutions. The Engineer will be responsible for defining system-level hardware and software interfaces and developing comprehensive software test procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Software, Hardware, and FPGA Engineers to propose and develop software and hardware solutions.
  • Define system-level hardware and software interfaces.
  • Develop software test procedures.
  • Work on deployable space structures, specifically satellite wings.

Essential Skills

  • 10+ years of experience in Software Embedded Engineering.
  • 10+ years of RF Engineering experience.
  • Proficiency in Embedded C and Embedded Linux.
  • Strong integrated Embedded skills.
  • Experience with Gitflow workflow model, Atlassian and Jenkins Automation.
  • Understanding of agile methodology.
  • Knowledge of RTOS, SOC2, and FPGA.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience with space and satellite systems.
  • Familiarity with aerospace software system design and implementation.
  • Proficiency in C, C++, and Ubuntu.
  • BS Degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science.

Work Environment

The Engineer will be part of a small and growing team, reporting directly to the VP of Software Engineering. The role offers the possibility of occasional remote work and may require light travel to FL and CO. The work environment is centered on cutting-edge innovation for national security needs, advancing capabilities in MEO, GEO, and Hybrid Space Architectures.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $100.00 - $120.00/hr.
