Job Title: Engineering Technician

Job Description

As an Engineering Technician, you will engage in system design, testing, commissioning, and equipment installation. Your role will involve performing system check-outs, conducting advanced mechanical and electrical testing, and troubleshooting as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble and prepare mechanical and electrical panels containing components such as CAT5, electronics, and servos.
  • Install control panels for machines according to schematics.
  • Utilize a variety of hand and power tools.
  • Troubleshoot and debug equipment with the engineering team.
  • Work directly from schematics and blueprints.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • AAS Degree in Manufacturing or Engineering
  • 3 years of mechanical manufacturing experience, specifically in field service or installations
  • 3 years of experience reading and working from blueprints and electrical schematics

Work Environment

You will work in a clean, state-of-the-art facility that builds proprietary laser machines for various industries, primarily Aerospace. This location employs around 55-60 people and is part of a larger corporation headquartered in Italy. Initially, work will be conducted in the shop, with 10-20% travel for equipment installation and commissioning at client sites over time. The role demands the ability to handle customer interactions in potentially challenging environments, especially during service calls where prompt equipment repair is critical.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $30.00/hr.
