Primary Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the design, development, and deployment of cloud applications
  • Act as service-level owner of high-revenue, business-critical production service
  • Lead the response to any incidents or outages, ensuring quick resolution and minimal impact on users
  • Lead, mentor, and manage teams of software engineers and coach on opportunities and career growth
  • Contribute to Design, Development, Unit Testing, System Testing and Test Automation activities
  • Guide the team in Scaled Agile (SAFe) best practices for coding, testing, and deployment
  • Collaborate with product management, QA, architecture, and key leaders to translate product roadmaps into successful delivery and customer value
  • Provides leadership to and is accountable for the performance of leads and/or senior level professional staff
  • Bring innovative ideas to help continuously improve the application portfolio including the design, build, deploy, test and runtime within cloud ecosystems
  • Be able to prioritize and manage work to critical project timelines in a fast-paced environment
  • Work with geographically distributed Agile teams
  • Drive continuous improvement in cross-functional processes through collaboration with business and technology teams
  • Stay informed about the platform strategy and roadmaps to inform technical staffing needs and align deliverables with business priorities
  • Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • 12+ years of professional IT experience, with steadily increasing responsibilities
  • 8+ years of developer experience with one or more common programming languages, with solid object-oriented programming skills
  • 5+ years of experience leading teams and/or managing IT Project timelines and deliverables
  • Hands-on leader and should be able to understand code and push good design practices
  • Experience with public cloud development (possibly Azure)
  • Experience working in an Agile environment
  • Experience with DevOps methodologies and enabling Automation within development teams
  • Knowledge of the Software/System Development Life Cycle
  • Health care domain knowledge
  • Knowledge of CICD, Security & Vulnerabilities: Maven, Jenkins & Service Now API integration for auto deployments, Stargate, Fortify, Sonar, etc.
  • Knowledge and understanding of diverse platforms and operating systems, including current and emerging technologies
  • Knowledge and understanding of technical design patterns
  • Sound understanding of industry standards around data privacy, risk management, and compliance requirements
  • Proven to be highly motivated with proven success meeting commitments in a deadline-driven environment with multiple competing priorities
  • Proven ability to lead change and innovation - pursue opportunities to adopt new technologies and drive adoption to enhance business outcomes - drive and manage high-quality execution across organizational lines
  • Proven ability of developing relationships across technical, management, and executive levels
  • Proven ability to juggle multiple projects and timelines while keeping customers, team and leadership aware of status
  • Proven ability to discuss cloud architecture and principles of modern platforms
  • Proven adaptable and transformable to learn latest technologies as per business needs
  • Proven excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, and team-building skills, business judgment, and expertise in directing the efforts of a technical staff
  • Proven leadership, direction, and coaching skills to encourage the adoption of good practices
  • Proven ability to provide guidance to team and provide status to senior management
  • Demonstrated ability to influence opinion without direct managerial control
