Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Manager to lead our Data and Analytics team. This role will focus on advancing Solar Turbines' data strategy, driving strong customer engagement, and solving critical business challenges through data and analytics. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of working with business leaders to implement a data strategy, understand data science and data analytics technologies, and have the skills to influence and lead the change through the organization. This role reports to the Solar Chief Information Officer (CIO) and will lead a team of IT managers, architects, business analysts, scrum masters, software developers, and multiple service providers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the development and implementation of Solar Turbines' data strategy to enhance business decision-making and operational efficiency.
• Collaborate with business leaders to identify data needs and opportunities, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
• Drive the adoption of data governance practices across the organization, emphasizing the importance of data quality, security, and compliance.
• Oversee the design and deployment of data and analytics solutions, including predictive analytics, business intelligence, and data visualization tools.
• Manage a team of data professionals, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to achieve departmental objectives.
• Foster a data-driven culture within the organization, promoting the use of data and analytics to drive business value.
• Partner closely with Solar Digital and the broader Caterpillar organization on enterprise data and analytics strategies
• Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies in data and analytics, ensuring Solar Turbines remains at the forefront of innovation.
• Lead, coach and develop a team of IT professionals to deliver business outcomes, keep pace with technology advancements, communicate effectively and to establish a robust talent pipeline

Provide leadership, coaching, and development to a team of IT professionals to achieve business objectives, stay current with technology advancements, communicate efficiently, and establish a robust talent pipeline.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field.
• Proven experience in developing and implementing data strategies within a business environment.
• Strong understanding of data governance principles and practices.
• Proficiency in data analytics tools and technologies, such as Snowflake, Python, Tableau, and Power BI.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage business leaders on the importance of data governance.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a team of data and analytics professionals.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically about data and analytics.

Preferred Experience:

• Experience in the manufacturing industry, energy sector or a related industry
• Professional experience within a multinational corporation
• Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms and technologies
• Knowledge of artificial intelligence, generative AI and machine learning applications

Summary Pay Range:

$169,206.00 - $253,808.00
