The vision for Books org is to make every book ever published, in any language, available for every customer in less than 60 seconds and cultivate long term customer engagement thru innovative CX for reading, writing and discovery. The Books Shopping Experience team plays a key role in making this vision happen by providing shopping experiences that helps customers discover their next book to read. Customers shop for Kindle books from a variety of surfaces including desktops/laptops, Kindle E-ink devices, Fire Tablets and mobile browser on their phones and tablets. We provide shopping experiences for customers no matter where they are and what device they have.
We are looking for a creative, deeply technical and customer-obsessed Principal TPM who enjoys solving difficult problems. This Principal TPM will drive multiple high-impact cross-org initiatives and new technology solutions that define the future of digital shopping. This role requires you to hit the ground running, exercise your ability to learn quickly, be independent and work on disparate tasks that will define success for you and the team. The ideal candidate must be detail oriented and have strong analytical, organizational and critical thinking skills. You must be able to accurately prioritize projects, make sound judgments, work to improve the customer experience, and get the right things done.
Your responsibilities will include program definition via collection of business and systems requirements from internal and external customers, authoring documents, driving program schedules from design to release, and managing the launch and roll out. You will be expected to make appropriate tradeoffs and clearly communicate goals and desired outcomes to leaders and stakeholders. You will be assessing the efficacy of current processes and operational posture, building structured programs, and working with teams and leaders across the company to deliver large programs end-to-end.

You will define and lead the execution of our strategy behind creating the next generation of shopping experience for books customers through driving collaboration across 20+ books teams to deliver the next generation of content recommendations for customers as well as evolve the customer experience to create the best possible shopping experience in both our native and web experiences.

The Books Shopping Experience team is a core team developing the frameworks and technologies used by dozens of partner teams to develop the best shopping experience for our books customers. The books organization is the oldest organization at Amazon serving customers from the very beginning. This team has a wealth of experience in Amazon and is constantly evolving the technologies we use in order to best serve our customers.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $159,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $275,300/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
