The Customer Service Voice tribe is responsible for a platform to deliver amazing customer service experiences by assisting Customer Service Representatives on live phone interactions. This product performs real-time analysis of the live phone call and makes timely suggestions to the CSRs to help make them more efficient.
Picture Yourself at Pega:
You will lead a team of software engineers helping them succeed in designing, building, and operating cutting-edge voice capabilities. Your team will consist of experts in primarily two different fields. One half will be building services using Typescript/NodeJS, Python, C++, Terraform, Docker, and C#. Other half of the team consists of AI and ML experts and are responsible for the speech to text transcription.
What You'll Do at Pega:
- Technical/Functional/Tactical Delivery
- In your technical lead hat, you will develop advanced code as a structure for your engineers, and perform critical code reviews to ensure quality, testability, and security.
- In your manager hat, you will supervise the day-to-day work of the Team, guiding on technical aspects, communicating goals, and measuring progress toward those goals.
- In your support engineer hat, you will work closely with the Global Customer Support organization as well as the Pega Consulting organizations to ensure that the client implementations are successful.
- Work closely with product managers, and the leads responsible for other aspects of the overall architecture.
- Govern and track projects using requisite documentation, process, and procedure.
- Forge cross-functional partnerships and drive strong organization results.

- Development of individual team members, which includes coaching, mentoring, and motivation.
- Provide opportunities for team members to grow their careers.
- Take part in the end-to-end recruitment process from attracting to onboarding.
- As a people manager you will engage and develop a high performing team aligned with Pega’s core values.

Who You Are:
You are a seasoned engineer with experience in a leadership role such as scrum master or tech lead, who aspire to become a formal engineering manager, or you already are a manager and would like to progress your career.
You understand that delivering a working piece of software is only a tiny fraction of what is required to provide an enterprise scale service which is Pegasystems’ core business. You are willing to advocate and enforce following processes and practices to ensure alignment and compliance with software development practices required at the company. However, you have technical background that allows you to advocate for and support your engineers.
What You've Accomplished:
- You have 8+ years of experience building highly scalable services.
- Experience working with technologies like: Typescript/C++, Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform.
- Leadership experience.
- Proven track record in delivering and operating a service would be a plus.
- Understanding of Pegasystems’ business and familiarity with the company’s end products and their uses would be a plus.
