Job Title: Injection Mold Operator and Assembler

Job Description

This role involves detailed work, requiring candidates with machine operating experience, such as CNC, Injection Machines, Extrusion Machines, or Silicone production. The position includes duties as an Injection Mold Operator and Sheeting Machine Operator, working within a clean room environment. You will be responsible for removing excess silicone from very small micro parts, demanding an eye for detail and steady hands.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor machine and process of silicone production.
  • Work collaboratively with quality technicians to make necessary adjustments to machines, materials, and processes.
  • Accurately fill out job sheets with part numbers, lot numbers, and quantities, requiring basic arithmetic skills.
  • Produce small silicone parts for the medical industry in a clean room environment.

Essential Skills

  • Experience with injection mold operation and machine operation.
  • Familiarity with silicone injection mold machines and processes.
  • Competency in general labor tasks, inspection, and molding.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience as a CNC Operator, Injection Mold Operator, or Machine Operator.

Work Environment

Positions begin with training on the first shift from Monday to Friday, 5:00 AM to 3:15 PM, transitioning to the second shift from Monday to Friday, 3:00 PM to 1:15 AM. Work takes place in a clean room, using tweezers and microscopes, due to the small size of medical industry products. Located in Freeland, Michigan, this small-scale manufacturing company has under 50 employees and maintains a high standard of cleanliness to meet medical regulations. The company recently completed an expansion and is poised for further growth, offering a stable and highly compensating work environment.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Saginaw, Michigan.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $20.00/hr.
