We are seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to oversee and drive multiple data-centric portfolios and projects. This role requires strong expertise in managing data engineering initiatives, enhancing and maintaining ETL pipelines, and delivering Power BI dashboards and data package requests. The ideal candidate will be adept at coordinating frequent huddles with both backend and frontend data teams to ensure seamless collaboration and timely delivery of project outcomes.

What you’ll do:

• Lead the management and execution of multiple data portfolios and projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and timelines.
• Oversee the creation, modification, and optimization of ETL pipelines to support data processing needs.
• Coordinate the development and delivery of Power BI dashboards, ensuring updates meet stakeholder requirements.
• Manage and prioritize data package requests, ensuring their accurate and timely fulfillment.
• Facilitate daily or frequent huddles with the data backend team (data engineers) and data frontend team (dashboard/report developers) to maintain alignment and address any blockers.
• Ensure quality assurance and adherence to best practices in all data-related projects.
• Monitor project progress, track KPIs, and report status updates to stakeholders.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to address challenges and optimize data workflows.
• Manage the intake of new requests, ensuring they are properly triaged and prioritized based on factors such as impact, urgency, and resource availability, and align these priorities with leadership review and organizational objectives.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks associated with data portfolio deliverables to ensure successful project outcomes and minimize potential disruptions.
• Manage finance and cost management of data projects, track actuals for contractors on time and material for specific data projects, and report planned vs actual costs to the Data Director and other stakeholders as required to ensure accurate financial oversight and accountability.

What you bring:

• Proven experience as an IT Project Manager, with a strong focus on data engineering projects.
• Solid knowledge of ETL tools, processes, and best practices.
• Proficiency in Power BI, including dashboard creation and updates.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills, capable of handling multiple projects simultaneously.
• Exceptional communication and leadership abilities, with experience leading cross-functional teams.
• Familiarity with agile methodologies, including daily stand-ups and iterative delivery models.
• Ability to analyze and solve complex problems, ensuring project success.
• Experience working with both backend and frontend data teams is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of cloud-based data platforms and data integration tools.
• Certification in project management methodologies (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2, Agile).
• Experience in managing large datasets and ensuring data governance and compliance.
• Familiarity with tools and platforms such as Azure, Databricks, Python, and Power BI will be considered a strong plus, providing additional leverage in driving project success.
